ooops!

I must have still been in lala land when I was walking down the flight of stairs at the interchange (to go take a bus home).

My head was bent down, looking at the steps and yet I managed to missed one step and almost got myself hurled down the flight of stairs....
How clever can I get... x_X
(this girl looks rather like me.. haha)

Review - Etude House 55 Baby Lip Project

As promised, a review of Etude House's 55 Baby Lip Project.

55 Baby Lip Project in short is a simple 2 steps lip exfoliating product.

The first step is to exfoliate the lips.

The tube comes with a soft rubber "spikes" applicator. The lip scrub is a gel-liquid lip scrub with tiny brown beads which dispenses easily when I squeezed the tube.

Then as simple as it seems, just gently massage the applicator with the lip scrub on the lips. After rubbing for maybe a minute or so, just wipe the lips with a wet face cloth or a wet tissue.

The last step is to moisturise the lips with the accompanying lip balm.

I don't really like this lip balm, its a little hard to dig out and not very easy to spread on the lips and also, its a bit sticky! The only redeeming factor is that the of this lip balm's smell reminds me of Palmer's Cocoa Butter body lotion, i like! :) Moisturising wise, I didn't have a chance to find out ...... I ate some junk food almost immediately after applying.. LOL

Overall, 55 Baby Lip Project is pretty decent as it does remove the dead skin on my lips with leaving it dry even without applying the lip balm. The baby lips part.. mmm... It didn't really leave my lips that soft to be called "baby lips".

The only bad part is that my dead lip skin "re-surfaced" 2 days later... =_="

Price wise it is fairly cheap. After converting to sing dollars, it still cost less than $10 excluding shipping cost. $10 for a lip scrub and a lip balm is rather inexpensive, and the packaging is so pink and lovely!!

PS. I think I am not really that good in doing reviews... LOL

Gmarket Haul #2

^-^

Gmarket haul pictures! Don't drool!

Box - Unopened...

... Box - Opened!
(re-simulated.. I was too excited and forgot to took a picture before
opening up all the packages...)

My cosmetics, skincare and brushes from
Castledew and Etude House...

belts (from 2 sellers) + free gifts

The white belt came free with the top black belt and the ribbon hair ties came free with the bottom black belt... I scored a pretty good deal right?! One of the belts cost KRW 5,900 while the other cost KRW 7,400 (I don't know which belt cost KRW 5,900 and which belt cost KRW 7,400 though...). Both belts are very pretty and quality wise also not too bad!! I should have taken the back view of them but forgot (again!).

Free Eyeshadow Case+ Castledew Pearl Up Eyeshadows

(left to right) Gold Khaki (9740), Ice Castle (9814), Castle Blue Pearl (9449)

Sad to say, I am rather disappointed with the Castledew this time round. First up, Gold Khaki didn't look like the deep rich green as per the swatches on the VOV web site.. not too sure if it works for me..

Ice Castle looks like a light glittery-silver-lilac instead of the glittery-silver and lastly, the Castle Blue Pearl is a very pretty grey-lavender (yes, I like this colour) but it reaches me cracked at the top right corner.. :( and Just now, I accidentally dropped it on the floor and it was smashed T_T but I managed to press it back into the pan..

Don't think I'll depot this shadow into the case this time around.. :( Afraid that it will be messy...

On Screen Primer No.1 Oil Absorbing + Speedy Total Makeup Base No.1

On Screen Primer No.1 Oil Absorbing
Be a Star of the Silver Screen with Complexion Care Makeup Solution for Flawless Looking Skin
Oily Shine Control Powder: Prevents makeup clumping, fading and facial oil accumulation. Makeup primer & base combination: promotes radiant skin tone.

Speedy Total Makeup Base No.1
3-in-1 Multi-Function Sun Balm (Natural Beige) Makeup Base + Foundation + Sunscreen in One
Complete One-Step Base Makeup! Light and sheer coverage works to correct and lighten skin tone (base), conceals blemishes (foundation) and provides a smooth matte finish for the presentation of flawless complexion. UV Sun Ray Protection! Protects skin from UVA & UVB sun ray damage with SPF. (SPF50+/PA+++) Smooth, Clean Coverage without Clumping! Moist, smooth textured balm makeup that prevents oily shine in a simple manual application.

I like the packaging!! Girly and PINK!! On Screen Primer (Primer) comes in a hygienic pump dispenser while the Speedy Total Makeup Base (Base) is a normal squeeze tube.

I tried both products yesterday and since I only wore it once, I can't really pass a verdict yet. Both products have a light fragrance, the Base having a nicer but slightly stronger smell as compared to the Primer, which have a rather unpleasant smell in my opinion. But its not very strong, barely detectable.

The Primer is a little hard to spread and it blends ok-well. It might be due to my imagination but I think that it covered up a bit of my pores too. The oil controlling power seems pretty decent, I didn't feel that my face was greasy but I'm not sure if I looked greasy as I didn't look into the mirror much yesterday.

As for the Base.. mmm... the texture isn't very liquid.. not exactly creamy either.. balm like texture maybe (not too sure how to describe)?? Its easy to spread, the coverage is sheer-medium so I still need to use a concealer. This colour matches me well (I use ZA concealer shade #2, Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation OC 02). It does not oxide on my skin, but anyways, my foundations don't really oxidise on my face, even if it does, the colour difference is not very great.

I will try to remember to update on my reviews on these 2 products.. But not sure if any one wants to know of my opinion though haha..

Primer is available in 2 types, No. 1 being Oil Absorbing, No 2 being Moisturising. Base is available in a shades, No 1 (Natural Beige), No 2 (Fair Beige).

Oh~ m’EYE Lash Petticoat + XXX

One is a mascara base, will the other 2 is mascara wands.. Something I bought by mistake... I thought it is mascara.... =_=" blur me.. When I bought it, my intention was to give 1 to my friend and keep 1 for myself... What should I do now??
Dear Darling Nails #31 + #35

Very pretty!! Like these 2 colours alot!! And the bottles are really pretty too! Going to wear #35 for my D&D!! Think later I'll try #31 on my toes! Or #35 as nail color, french tip with #31?? Will it show up?? If I'm feeling adventurous later, I might try...

66 Big Eye Liner Maker

My first liquid eyeliner.. Bought with the intention to use during D&D.. Have to start practicing now!! Hope I don't make a muck out of it!

55 Baby Lip Project

When I first saw this, I thought it was an interesting product, I was also on the prowl for a lip exfoliating product.

You are supposed to use the squeeze tube, squeeze out the product inside, rub it on your lips, wipe off and apply the accompanying lip balm.

I think I will do a separate review with pictures.. Its a bit hard for me to explain and this post is getting very long...

Etude House Brushes

Trouble Eraser Toner + 24 Hour Powder

The Trouble Eraser 24 Hour Powder seemed similar to the Ettusais Night Protect Powder and it cost less than half the price of it. Tried it once yesterday and it seemed pretty decent... Will do another review soon...

my gifts with purchase...

lemming!!

i am so lemming for these....

Opera My Lash Mascara

I want this mascara!! I'm so addicted to buying mascara.. I think I have about 2 unopened mascara somewhere in my drawer.. :p But I have I don't use more than 1 mascara each time.
Mascara has a short lifespan, if I don't remember wrongly, a mascara lifespan is about 3 months. I usually dump mine after 4 months depending on how dry the formula is, but my mascara never lives past its 6th month birthday...

KATE Deep Trap Eyes BR-1

I've been yearning to get this since a looong time back.... But I have controlled my desires... Will I succumb to my desire?? Or should I get the Lavshuca Dual Eyes instead???

SANA Make Essence Concealer

Isn't this concealer CUTE??!!! This concealer is for the under eyes, when I saw these on Muse's blog about 2 days ago it immediately entered my "Desire List"!! I have a "thing" for concealers too...

Actually, on second thought, I seemed to have a "thing" for almost every type of makeup... I like concealers, mascaras, eye shadows, blushers and lip glosses. *LOL*

Sidetrack a little... Recently, I have discovered the benefit of applying eyeliner and so I have been trying out a few eyeliners (I have ordered my first liquid liner from Etude House, and it should arrive some time this week ^-^ ).

Can't wait for my hauls to arrive!! Come on Mr Postman!! I'm waiting~~~~!

morn skincare routine

Nothing much for me to blog about since I'm still waiting for my Gmarket, Sephora.com and e.l.f. hauls to arrive.. So... After pondering, I decided to write a rundown about my usual morning skincare routine...

  • Softymo Q10 Powder Wash (not in picture)
  • Kanebo Blanchir Clear Conditoner
  • Clarins Eye Contour Gel
  • Missha Super Aqua Water Supply Essence (Crystal Water)
  • Kanebo Blanchir Milky Conditioner
  • Clarins Blemish Control
  • Sunblock (will be blogging about this soon)

This products are what I use in my skincare routine the mornings, but sometimes I skip the Missha Essence if I'm running late or if I'm using my Freshel Makeup Base. Ermm.. All these steps don't take me that long.. Maybe about 10 minutes or less I suppose, I don't time myself :)

I have been using the Clarins Eye Contour Gel since I forever and this is my 4th tube (i think), 1 tube of these can last a loooooooooong time since all I need is the size of a red bean per usage for both eyes.

The Kanebo Blanchir Milky Conditioner is costly at $79 but 1 bottle can last quite long. I been using this bottle since December last year and as of now, it is about 1/4 full. But I usually only use it in the mornings as there's another Blanchir gel-cream to use at night.

Since I have combi-dehydrated-acne prone skin (very troublesome!!), to salvage my dehydrated skin, I use the Missha Super Aqua Water Supply Essence and this one is the 2nd bottle. Its hydrating enough without been greasy and heavy and suits my troublesome skin pretty well.

I shall stop here for now! Good nighty everyone! ^-^

lip glosses/sticks collection

I had some time to spare this evening, so I thought I ought to take a picture of my lips stuffs to make my post on "my makeup collection" complete.

As you can see, I favour shades of pink and orange, and also I only own 3 lip sticks and the rest of them (9 in total) are lip glosses.

from centre right to left:

  • Beauty Credit PK03 Raspberry Pop*
  • INTEGRATE Glamourous Rouge PK752
  • Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss PK384
  • Lavshuca Rouge Essence PK4
  • Kiss Rouge Pure Glace #24 Strawberry Ice
  • L'Occitane Lip Gloss Cherry Blossom*
  • Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss PK133
  • Bourjois Les Nudes #34 Rose Mythic*
  • Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss OR266
  • INTEGRATE Lip Gloss RD494
  • T'ESTIMO Enamel Rouge Gloss OR04*
  • T'ESTIMO Glitter Fluid Rouge PK208**

* bought locally

**gift with purchase

The rest are bought either from adambeauty or through CP.

My favourite? Its the INTEGRATE Lip Gloss RD494, although it looks quite red in the tube but on my lips its actually a very flattering shade of red that enhances my natural lip colour. :)

My least favourite has to be that L'Occitane Lip Gloss Cherry Blossom! I don't like the scent, and a bit drying, even though its look orange in the tube but it shows up as a clear gloss AND it cost almost $20.. grrrrrrrrrr

a little update...

I have been rather busy with work lately and will be even busier in the coming weeks and will remain busy until ealry next year.. :( Why? All because I am involved in the Company's Budget FY09 on top of my usual tasks/workload.

Depressing news aside (at least it's depressing for me), I placed my 2nd order from Gmarket last week~~!!! And also, with the help from my dear dear friend who's in United States, I bought some Too Faced and Urban Decay stuffs from Sephora.com and also some e.l.f. stuffs~!! Hohoho~ Once my loots arrive, no matter how busy I am, I'll definitely take pictures of them and post onto my blog! To make you people drool!

Wanna complain a little.. one of the sellers from Gmarket is taking ages to ship the goods out!! This time I only ordered from 3 sellers and 2 of them have already shipped my stuffs to the Gmarket HQ!! Only waiting for this seller.. :'( I only ordered 1 product from this particular seller, why is he/she taking so long to ship it!!!??? *grumbles*

Lastly, I announce that I will be going on a semi makeup ban... Not a total makeup ban, as I have no confidence that I can stick to that, but at least I suppose I can stop surfing Gmarket/adambeauty so that I will stop lusting for more makeup.

Having the "semi" word gives me a little leeway and so I can still buy makeup but only the essentials or in emergencies (hey! there might be some kind of emergency ok?! Maybe I dropped my concealer in the toilet bowl, lip balm got mashed up or something...) And maybe I can buy a little eye shadow or nail polish to pamper myself after a month of hard work...

The reason behind my makeup ban is fueled by the fact that I need to save up some funds to decorate my bedroom. I need a huge wardrobe, chest of drawers (which will double up as my makeup table), bed frame + mattress, bedside table and a bookcase. All these cost money. Any sponsors??! *LOL*

Another reason is that I only have 1 face, 1 pair of eyes, 1 mouth, 2 cheeks… I can only use that much of product and furthermore, the economy is not too great now, recession and the GDP also… Who knows if things can get any dreadful-er? Hope there wouldn’t be another Lehman Brothers incident…

my makeup collection

Alot of my friends have been asking me - how much cosmetics do I own?

In words, I have a semi-modest collection of cosmetics, consisting of both expensive and cheap makeup (mainly cheap makeup, since about 80% of my makeup are from drugstores)

To let youall have a peek of what I have, some pictures have been taken of my existing makeup collection (they are growing slowly but steadily), excluding some of my lips stuffs which I kept in the drawers and I forgot to take pictures of them.. Since its a post on makeup collection, the below pictures do not include much makeup accessories, makeup tools and skincare. And also, these pictures consist of cosmetics I have opened and used... The others which are new & unused are kept elsewhere and not included in this post. :)

First up, its my 6 tiers drawer - containing my seldom use makeup..
(from bottom)
  • 1st drawer - some skincare samples, my eyebrow kit & miscellaneous
  • 2nd drawer - blushers (Red Earth, Biotherm, Canmake, Stila, Clinique, etc)
  • 3rd drawer - lips (The Skin Food, Kiss, The Body Shop, Shiseido, etc)
  • 4th drawer - eyeshadow palettes (MAC, Kiss, Lord & Berry, etc)
  • 5th drawer - other eye makeup (eyeliners, sharpener, eyebrow mascara, electric eyelash curler etc)
  • 6th drawer - not shown (my accessories like necklaces & rings)

These are on my dressing table (pardon the dirty mirror :P).

My skincare (mainly Kanebo), 2 perfumes (Flower by Kenzo & Clinique Happy), sunblocks and makeup brushes and mascara.

Do you see the 4 small drawers beneath all those bottles? The 1st drawer (from left) holds my hair ties and hair clips, the 2nd drawer holds my facial cottons, 3rd drawer holds my Shiseido eyelash curler, a smaller eyelasher curler & a lash comb, last drawer holds more facial cottons)

Lastly, a 5 tiers drawer on my dressing table...
(from bottom)
  • 1st drawer - some miscellaneous stuffs (hair velcro, Spring Heart eyelash curler, Tiffa sunblock, Lunasol makeup base & powder foundation, Integrate lip palette)
  • 2nd drawer - base makeup (ZA, Excel, KATE, Faircrea, Canmake concelears, Revue loose powder, Kiss highlighting powders, etc)
  • 3rd drawer - blushers (Canmake, Gransenbon, Kiss, KATE, Everyday Minerals, Alima Pure)
  • 4th drawer - eyeshadow palettes (Lavshuca, Excel, KATE, Tiffa, Media)
  • 5th drawer - eyeshaow palettes, eyeshadow singles & eyeliners (Lunasol, Majolica Majorca, Canmake, Shu Uemura, Stila, NYX, Splash, Clarins, Integrate, Kiss, Revlon, Spring Heart)

Yep! That's all...

I don't view makeup as an everyday chore.. I really enjoy putting on cosmetics, experimenting with new looks, new colors and building up my cosmetics collection. I like opening up my drawers to see many varieties, many colours. :) They light up my day.
